Lady Gaga's Biography

Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) is a Grammy-winning American pop musician known for her flamboyant style and irreverent dance music, and is one of the best-selling musicians of all time.

Gaga began her musical career playing piano as a child, and started writing her own compositions at the age of 13. She went on to study musical theater at NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of Music, but dropped out halfway through her sophomore year to pursue a career in music. Over the next several years, she honed her persona as Lady Gaga, and shot to stardom with her 2008 album The Fame.

As it turns out, Lady Gaga is something of a mixologist herself. According to NME, she periodically drops in for guest bartending shifts at Joanne Trattoria in New York City, her family’s restaurant. She has a number of bartender’s-choice favorites that she likes to mix, but apparently when she’s the one drinking, she likes to keep it surprisingly simple. Gaga goes for a Jameson on the rocks, which seems fairly dull compared to her usual persona—then again, she’s always been one to keep us on our toes.
